Bike problem, pls help:

2008 GSX-R 750, 5k miles. No mods.

I’ve got…make that, my bike has a weird issue that from time to time rears it’s ugly head. Sometimes when I am traveling at a constant rate of speed, say being on the freeway at 70mph and I want go say 72, I apply pressure on the go go handle and I get nothing, I apply a little more and still squat, then I TURN the handle so very very little and BLAM!!! It responds violently! Non linear, at all. It doesn’t always happen and it surely never happens at launch or when in neutral at idle. It’s weird and it doesn’t always happen, and when it does it’s at constant rate of speed, just driving at a sustained rate…it almost feels like it wants to bog down before I turn the handle and BOOM! The throttle cable is sealed so it cant be dirty or something, also I changed the oil at the house and I thought I might have overfilled and fouled the plugs but I put in exactly the amount and checked the gauge that reads perfect plus Ive never seen any smoke reflecting an overfill…so that cant be it. Outside of that the throttle responses it linear, perfect and smooth, but today, this morning it was ****ing nuts trying to drive on the freeway at a constant rate without the bike “goosing” when I applied a bit of throttle.

Any advise you may have would be very helpful. Thank you.

Herf

If there is evidence that you tempered with it might void out the warranty. Just bring it in.

It may be fly by wire? if it is then you really have to bring it in.
