henry, what software are you using and what do you suggset someone use that just got a digital camcorder for christmas start to use =P

i have windows movie maker that came stock with my PC, lol

Adobe Premiere

A bit more advanced then Microsofts products but well worth it.

Premier has a steep learning curve for a newb in the video world and does not render transitions until the movie is finalized but it of course has all kinds of plugins for transitions and text and so it is the ultimate tool for finishing a big project. Most people dump their video into something like Pennacle and chop the clips into a useable form then move those clips into premier if needed.
