Best roads... Texas?

I10 the 3rd best highway in the USA...

Quote:
Top 5 States With the Worst Roads Are...

When it comes to roads that beat and bang you up, Pennsylvania leads the nation. That's the word from the annual Highway Report Card survey of over-the road truckers conducted by Overdrive magazine.

What is so wrong with the highways and byways of Pennsylvania? The top complaints are the conditions of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-78 and I-80, as well as poor signage.

The states with the worst roads are:
1. Pennsylvania
2. Missouri
3. Louisiana
4. Michigan
5. California

The states with the best roads are:
1. Texas
2. Florida
3. Tennessee
4. Georgia and Ohio (tie)
5. Nevada and Virginia (tie)

The worst highway in the United States is:
1. I-10 in Louisiana
2. I-44 in Missouri
3. I-95 in New York

The best highway in the United States is:
1. I-75 in Florida
2. I-40 in Tennessee
3. I-10 in Texas

The most improved highway is:
1. I-40 Arkansas
2. I-80 Pennsylvania
3. I-30 Arkansas

The Overdrive survey not only ranked roads, but also the drivers who traverse them. Roughly two-thirds of respondents say road rage increased during the past year, with 36 percent calling the jump significant. The worst automobile drivers are in California, followed by Illinois and New York.

I agree! I went downtown today, on the way back all the highways were fine and clear until I got to I-10. Bumpy, traffic, construction.

The people who voted I-10 Texas as one of the best highways in the country are just plain idiots!

That's just one tiny fraction of I 10, I've driven it from El Paso to San Antonio and it's awesome.

I-40 is better, but I-10 doesn't get anywhere near LAs Vegas, Nev. Having driven both from end to end, I-40 is better IMO. I-10 just really sucks from Katy to say..........Mobile??

RacerX, i-10 does go right upto atlantic coast, all the way from pacific coast in LA.
I am just back from a road trip to vegas, went via i-10, came bk via i-40. both r good enough roads, except for some stretches here and there, i-40 is marginally better though.
and Clyde, i-10 doesnt go near vegas, but u take 93 from Phoenix (60 till wickenberg) and it takes u all the way to Vegas!
