Smile Share: Your best ride

When responding to the worst wreck thread I remembered a really good, memorable ride in New Waverly.

My son (on a KX80 w/spark arrester) and I went up there following a controlled burn to kill, IIRC the pine bark beetle. The weather was perfect and as we rode slowly through the burned areas on obscured trails blue smoke would come up from under the ashes. That along with the almost black and white scene of the burnt trees with a brilliant blue sky as a background gave an almost 'Sin City' type of experiance.

So, how about your most perfest ride...

Brad

Way too many to list....every day that I got to throw my leg over a bike ended in a memorable ride.

Some places that were best were Deals Gap, Arkansas, and the Hill Country...those places hold most of my favorite memories.

Way too many, but if I had to pin point it to one ride....

it was the hill country ride I did with MH group back in August/September ( it was hot!) '06!!!

I think we had 14 or so bikes and no incidents on nearly 400 miles of riding in ONE day!!!! It was the weekend overall, though, everything from Daisy Duke's Bar to hitting the twisties. it was a good time. Pics on pg. 6&7 of this thread!!!!!!!

every year I visit my folks in durango colorado. my dad and I ride dirt bikes up to the top of silverton mountain, about 11,200 feet. it's snowing in june, the walls of snow that make the trails are 8' high. the path is about 5' wide, and there are 1,000 foot cliffs on one side. my dad, in his sixties, rides right on the edge looking down. scares the out of me, but he thinks it's funny. we go to the top and sit in the snowstorm, looking down on colorado.
very cool.

Mixin it up with Hooligan and MaxGs at TWS (Texas World Speedway). I ran off at prolly 90+ and managed to stay up.

Also, Fayetteville, with MaxGs when I got the ole "wave by". (probably the hardest I have ridden on teh street. twas crazy. lol

And I have a group of about 6 dudes that I ride backroads with and ALWAYS have a blast. Sadly, 1/2 of them dont post here cuz of all the haterz. I dont mind em tho.

My best ride was Potosi, Missouri. 73 mile loop, perfect blacktop roads, 40-60mph turns with hills. Rode around for 7 hours and only saw 5 cars on the road. Can't wait to go back...
