I'm no crasher by any means but you guys who race Firebird have my respect. I couldn't image crashing at a track with run-off that is only dirt, sand, gravel, and broken glass.

Me too!

LMS is definitely a great group to ride with...only downside is the pain I feel in my legs for a week after trying to do 30 minute sessions for 8hrs...No Pain No Gain!

Texastrackdays.com is another great group to ride with...Fantastic intructors!

Too bad CCS South is gone, not that I raced with them this year anyway but I was hoping to see more rounds at Eagles Canyon. The good thing about it is now I can be licensed with Road Race Southwest instead of CCS south. I love racing Firebird Main and hope to make it out for a couple of rounds again.

I think if someone is proud of passing others on a track day, it's the equivalent of saying you won open practice.

For me, track days are not about setting fast time, they are about working on set-up, taking notes and blowing the cobwebs out. Indeed, I'll always try to throw a few fast laps in there when I can, but I can't say I've ever come remotely close to pushing hard during a track day. Unless you know specifically what's going on with the other guy, you can't know if he's trying hard or if he's just made a change to some setting and he's testing it out.

good words.

Take what I say lightly, I'm just playin and new to all this. I am sure I will mature with time.

But not before saying, "I would never pass a guy whose picture is on the check out counter at CG south,"

I was just out there for the November round. I think that I will make the May round at East and possibly the November round at Main. I am always pitted with Jack and John bike number 61.
