teaser shot

i built a muffler for my bike. it's lighter than a titanium jardine, & was free to build.

l 44a4a5cd634444e0a373d78401a89e9deleted

it's got stainless baffling & produces a deep rowdy tone once it's warmed up. it's a little 'buzzy' up high, but it probably flows better than the factory 15 lb undertail.

i fail at uploading video...myspace must be too complicated for me.

i had a piece of pipe bent @ deer park muffler, the muffler is fabbed out of an aluminum louisville slugger. stuck a baffle in the big end & wedged it in the small end, used a stainless dish scrubber for packing.

the bent pipe needs some tweaking. it's about 3 lbs overall, & sounds wicked.

if y'all wanna see it in person i ride all the time.

ready to rock. got some disassembled pics.

sup del, i need a benchmark. it's not racing, it's R&D...

need it powdercoated. or annodized.
l 26ba0a8c2dfd4bea9166195c114cdfaf

simplicity:
2.25" steel pipe, louisville, peice (take that pinebox & motowerks ), & packing.

l 17162f8fb6184955ac24cf46ce99b90e

seriously.
l 1a3613fa0ac34490ac6f06a9d256fdfa

angling the baffle keeps my plastic bits from melting.

sorry but i think it looks like you threw something together or hacked off where the exhaust is supposed to be. maybe see if you can make it bigger and more taper on the cone so it looks like one of those aftermarket pipes.

i thought a lot of science, research and development go into making these exhausts.

what are the chances that this exhaust had any positive hp gains on this bike

chance is great when i don't have any packing in it. very light, very free flowing.

i don't like the aftermarket pipes (i would like a carbon fiber pinebox or a full Ti system) i like it how it sits.

thanks.

i call it a gentlemans muffler.

as long as I ride 'within decency' the packing stays in the , where it belongs, i CAN hit 120 without blowing it out, but it takes a few seconds...(est. 60% throttle)

whack it open in first & the packing ($5 for a 5 pack) blows out allowing near open, unrestricted unbastardized flow...& it sounds like a banshee raping a full grown man.
