The cold is not too bad, humidity is what makes it suck. Late last night was riding home, and sure enough face shield was fogging up - had to open it up. My eyeball muscles got numb in a few minutes. Not fun.

I also don't have a leather jacket tho...
for some reason my textile jacket is warmer than my leather, but that's probably b/c the leather jacket's ventilation is too good (can't completely close the vents...)

i would've said anywhere below 40, but now that i have some decent gloves it doesn't bother me as long as i wear my leg guards. i guess it also helps that the bike is all i've got at the moment...

those guys got jackets that are nuts. a friend of mine i work with used to ride a bike for HPD, he kept the jacket they issued him for cold weather, its heavy leather with a sheepskin lining inside. said he often has to open it while riding it gets so warm in it.

I tried similar gear to stay warm, couple of long-sleeve tshirts, fleece, textile jacket all over long thermal underwear and coud ride down to about 45. Then I bought a cheap windbreaker, wear that over a fleece under textile jacket and I'm good to about 35. Put a rain suit over all that and you can handle anything in Houston, just remember overpasses ice up below 35!

I've ridden in about 25 degrees but only because i had to... now, if it's below about 55 or 60, i don't ride unless it's on the 50. I don't enjoy it if it takes me 15 minutes to gear up and 15 minutes to get it off, then i have to carry it around. If i can ride in a sweatshirt, and leathers, then I'm good

LOL some nice warm booty

I ride all the time, my F4i is my daily driver so I gotta man up. Strap my tools on the back to go to work and everything. Oh yea people please don't forget to warm up your tires before you drag knees and don't forget your bike is gonna have a third nut in cold weather
