off road gear good for street riding?

i found some riding pants that i liked on ebay and surfed around google and it says that they are off road pants. will they work just as good as something made specifically for the street?

They will resist better than your normal denim jeans. Why don;t you look for some Icon pants, they have some nice ones.

I doubt you will find much of anything with a good on hand selection of riding gear for women. You can try Cycle Gear, but I dunno how much they will really have.
Icon is what I would look at for non denim riding pants though, I have 2 pairs of Superduty 2 pants (one camo the other black) and like them a lot, they are baggy canvas pants with the kevlar panels inside em.

kneepads ftw!

they have dual purpose...

1. wear them on the bike, protect the knees
2. wear them to protect your knees from carpet burn
