Man! What did they do? Throw the door open at full force! That does suck.

I finally learned to let go and just expect the cars and bike to take damage. I figure that is just the way it is.

You could also put some wax on the bare spot to protect it. FYI Still a nice bike.

Sucks Gary. It doesn't take much to put a dent in a tank, so I'm not surprised. XRCajun's handlebar did this to mine on the trailer back home from the Hill Country:

Whenever I go to anything like the LSR, I take a pic of my parked bike, along with any other bike that flanks it (incl. License Plates). Even if they leave, and another bike parks aside it, it would still be likely it was the original bike that was parked there.
