Hand signals for police ahead on the freeway??

I was making a run today on the Beltway South near 288 and saw a few cops sitting on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes clocking people. Luckily I was heading west doing a buck and saw many bikers going towards I-45 and probably Galveston. Of course the sportbikes waved but I want to do them a favor and signal a cop was ahead, but didn't know how. I don't that I have ever read about a signal for cop ahead. I was thinking that flashing lights can be misinterpreted as "hey!!!". I was going to do index finger pointed up and moving in a circle, but the wind can throw your hand all over the place at high speed. Was thinking that a quick signal was in order and thought that using the "five - O" signal would work. Like five fingers spread out and then closing your fist, and repeating rapidly.
What do you think? and is there an already adopted signal??

thanks jason and omega, especially since I have to be on the other side of the freeway to signal another biker. So good luck catching me.

if you stand up on your pegs, pull down your pants and moon the oncoming bikers, they slow down and get the idea Hammies are back there.

Tap tap. Universal and probably not a secret to anyone. If no hand is free, 3 high beam blinks is universal for cars. 3 anythings typically means S.O.S. in code it's three dits and three dats and three dits. ... - - - ... ... - - - ... Save our souls/ship/suspended licenses

Its considered:
-interference with public duties, and or
-obstruction of justice

BUT: READ ON :

intereference with public duties IS a class B misdemeanor HOWEVER!, from section 38.15 it provides defenses for doing such (warning others of a cop)

-"its NOT violated when an individual warns another of the presence of a police officer who is enforcing traffic laws. thus the flashing of head lamps to warn oncoming motorist of the presence of a police officer over the next hill has been specifically EXEMPTED from the scope of the law."

-source: Criminal Justice text book (ima cj major )

the other exemption has to do with speech only...section 38.15 (D) of the texas penal code.

so tap away my friend, cops aint gonna do shiz.
