Stick with the 250 at first. Its a great learner bike for someone as small as you. Dont want to get something you will kill yourself on. Plus the new 250s look nice

Not trying to build my post count. I just think its freaking funny she is not wanting the 250 that she supposedly put a down payment on because someone told her they look gay. Thats ignorant!

Well, I'm rockin the new 250r... Definately not gay, had a few buddies that thought it would be, then they rode the bike, and wanted one. BTW, most the folks that hate are the ones who sit on thier "bad " bike in front of starbucks trying to pick up chicks with it.

Heres a thought, try and ride one before you buy. Lord knows im loving mine, especially the way its WTFO everywhere i go, and doesn't kill me for stupid mistakes.

Thats the whole point. 250s are really forgiving. If you make a small mistake the concret wont come up to give you a kiss. A lot of the bigger stuff are not as forgiving.

i am gonna wait till after i take the classes next week then i am goin to go and look for a bike, i put that downpayment on one because i liked the bike.....not because someone said it was gay, and i plan on starting out on one that isnt so big and powerful until i can get used to it

Smart girl.........oops, woman. Talk to your Instructors about what would make a good first bike for you. Everyone's a little different. At least your Instructor has the benefit of watching you ride for a couple of days.

Start making a list of questions for your class. Stay close to the Instructor during the breaks and nag the out of them for info. Make them earn their money and make sure you get your money's worth.

Obviously, none of this applies if I end up being your Instructor.
