2006 Katana 600

Painting...

So what do you guys think is a good price to pay to have my whole bike painted. It is black right now but I may look at painting it dark purple. I have a katana, if that matters. PM are welcome if you want to give me your personal quote.

TIA
Hamm

remember, its kinda like tattoos, you dont want to get one by the guy who's cheap, you want to go by reputation. same with paint, the old adage, you get what you pay for usually holds true. Choose wisely, as it might eat at you everytime you swing a leg over.

As a painter, I have to say that price is a good guideline to go by, but not a rule.

I think that it's really good to look at the materials going into a paint job. A good looking job is nice. What's better is for that paint job to last the next 10 years looking just as good.

As mentioned, it matters more what you're willing to pay to get a paint job and what kind of quality you want.

If you want cheap price, you'll get what you pay for.

I tell folks all the time that I'll cut them a good price on paint, but it's not going to be the quality of a more expensive paint job. Even with that caveat, most folks are not really happy.
