So, I guess there is a couple of weeks to get some practice in. To bad my sister does not work there anymore. :eh:

Oh, I might have a couple of roommates available for teams too.

Looks like the tracks are going to be combined on (Tuesday - Friday) January 17-20.

Anyone interested in heading out there and racing?

Just went out there tonight and did the short course for the first time. Still awesome! The T1-T2-T3 hook up was a blast.

Called Track21 this morning to see about signing up over the phone for Friday's endurance race... the person I spoke to, said the roster is full. He suggested that I call and talk to the manager to see if they would be interested in running two endurance races.

I'll post something after I talk to the manager tomorrow...

It's a $100 for the hour. Most are 2-man teams so $50 a person... or $33 for a 3-man team, etc. Each stint is 15 minutes because that's all the cars will do on a tank of gas. Regardless, even after a standard 8-minute session, you're feelin' it in your upper body. It's a good time.

That's not the impression I got... thought it was more of a safety thing. I was told those karts can run for hours on end without having to be re-fueled, by an employee. :dontknow:

Maybe you're right. Somebody mentioned gas to me. Thought that was kinda odd as well, but whatever. Safety sounds right because its easier to go an hour on the sportbike Endurance racing at World than 15 minutes on one of these things. Granted, I have yet to do 15 minutes, but even after the 8 minute lapping stints you do (totalling around 17-ish laps on the short course depending on how fast you are) you feel pretty darn tired!!

Leonard @ Komodo set the endurance date up and posted this on the HSN board:

The reason they say it is full is because it is reserved for the endurance race. I also talked to the manager about a second race. I beleive it will happen. Just show up I'm sure some people will be looking for a teammate and you can ave up to 4 people on a team.

Remember 8:30 Friday
