Out of curiosity, how many of you have been to a Harley rally before?

And its nothing to be ashamed if this is your first; I'd just make a few recommendations:

1. keep nothing of value in/on your bike
2. wear your cheaper helmet
3. dont bring anything of value
4. tight enough jeans or securable pocket for your wallet/keys
5. expect anything on the street; might as well forget traffic lights etc. Trust the group you're riding in. Ride aggressive and authoritive but stay aware.
6. we have gotten in fights, even over taking a pic of someone's bike as they passed by... its always something stupid they try to get all tough about. But its ok we CAN fight and come ready for knives etc lol

And freakin' have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Im really hoping it to be calm, fun and represent ourselves in mature manner but I do love a spirited ride.

I dont recall when they end it...

I remembered we were standing around after, rode to the seawall on the way back to the Woodlands and the three of us riding(Amanda, Harley-rider and myself along w trailerdgsxr6 and a few others in a car) went out afterwards for some drinks for a couple hours before closing.

I've been to a few up north in Wisconsin, but never been there on a sportsbike. My mom works at a Harley shop and all they do was diss sportsbike or as they called it "-bikes". Come to think of it, I haven't seen any sports bikes up there. This is my 1st one here and I cant wait.

I'd say the '-bike' ratio to cruiser is 20% at this rally last year.

As for dissing the bikes, haters would cuz they got suckered into a heavy, poor economical, poor handling, riding, purposely unbalanced engine(type A), overpriced, oil leaking machine. Plus there are few and far between passengers that aren't uglier then the rider(and that's a cross gender statement Im including unfortunately.)

lol Im stirring the kettle.... And why were so many scared on the last forest ride w Mugbug when I was joking about all the harleys w them around me? They wont do anything... its all in good fun lol

Saturday... and I believe so...

now most of those engines are likely not on the road anymore since they kept bouncing their bikes off of redline.

i think once everyone gets there it'll be fun and safe. if you do roll w/ this group let me know how many guys rev and bounce the rev limiter showing off in the MH group. kinda curious

you think 20%? no way man. i was there the past two years and i'd say like 10% maybe if that.
i didn't make it to the sport bike night but still
There was a V-rod with pipes (good looking bike) Sun that bounced off his limiter for minutes at a time. There wasnt a second it was running that he wasnt on the throttle. Even when moving, he was dragging the clutch to bounce the limiter. What a douche. I was nice and didnt start . I wasnt really sure how much back-up I would get from the MH guys I had just met v. a (small) group of hardly skullcappers.

I may not make this specific ride down there with this group. It'll depend if I decide to play football that morning, which depends on how gimpy I still am from last weekend. Not getting into specifics on what's injured on me, but I'm definitely not 100%.
