oh...yeah, I would ride in sub-zero temps as opposed to driving in a KIA also.

You'll be fine.

i think im gonna go with

thermals, long sleve, leather icon with lining in
mask and helmet
thermals and jeans (really need to invest in pant i had some but they were to big and gave them to k5)
tube socks and some high shoes (need to invest in boots for sure)

so according to my set up the only thing that should hurt are my hands, i got some mesh a* gloves

you'll be just fine, i did a couple track sessions early in the morning in 40 degree weather in the same thing, except leathers instead of jeans and a leather jacket and i got off the track sweating.

of course that's not really comparable to highway driving but still stayed warm.

but yeah, your hands are gonna hate you. if you have latex gloves laying around throw those on under the a*'s, it will help block the wind a lot.

the $10 ski gloves from wal mart work pretty good. When its really cold I used to wear some neoprene fishing gloves....they'll make you sweat no matter what temp it is

maybe proper gear is important

put a newspaper in your chest area, it'll keep the cold out.

This reminds me of the second weekend I had my GSXR.

I bought it in Feburary 2004 while I was stationed in Jacksonville, NC.

We had a 3 day weekend for some holiday and me and some buddies decided to ride down to Wilmington, NC for the weekend.(Wonderful place to visit by the way)

So we're in the hotel late Saturday night getting ready to head out around town, when the weatherman says Sunday was going to be like 90% chance of rain, all day and was expected to get worse through the beginning of the week. Now mind you, this is winter in North Carolina in easily sub 50 deg weather.

We had to be back to base by Monday evening.....and considering it was going to get worse by then, we decided to head back Sunday morning. Sure enough, the weatherman was right. It rained all fvcking day and I had to make the 45 minute ride back to Jacksonville wearing a hoodie, blue jeans, and mechanix gloves.(helmet of course, but this was before I knew well enought to by gear)

It was by far the wrose experience I ever had on a motorcycle. When we got back to base, I literatly could not walk on my own because my legs were numb.

Turns out, however, the weatherman did get Monday wrong.........it was beautiful and perfect for riding. Fvckin ......

In other words......as long as it doesn't rain......just know it could be worse bro.

when the bike was my only transportation I would iron and use extra starch it helped keep alittle bit more air from coming in. I also added a few extra layers too here is a pic
