Nobody is fooled anymore Dave. Suck these poor noobs in with your commuter bike and fred flintstone tires, only to wreak havoc on them at the track. Woo hoo!

I would love to say for posing points, but an old guy on an old school bike isn't really set up for that. On my bike I can't hear my cell phone. I don't deal with fighting kids. I don't worry about work problems. I have no cares other than to enjoy the road. It's a time to relax, think and reflect, or just enjoy the ride.

Which is exactly why you shouldn't sell it. It gives you peace and joy.

BTW- this thread was started because of you.

You're an awesome person Squoddy. Thanks....... you really made my evening. I've thought long and hard since I originally posted this afternoon, and I'm calmed down now. Thank you to all who posted with encouragement. Sometimes it's good to just hear good stuff from good people. Motohouston has, by far, the coolest people of any forum that I have been a member of.

Hey Squoddy....... you didn't start this post knowing I would read it and start me thinking did you? One of these days, you need to come to one of the M&Gs so I can meet you in person (no macking intended). I know your life is really full, but one day, you'll come out and show that new bike of yours. Saturday at the Fox and the Hound would be a good time (hint, hint).

I had wanted to ride since I was a kid when my dad had his triumph. Now I cherish the freedom and escape it offers. it means I dont answer my phone. I do not sit online and **** off. i do not talk to anyone. I also stay out of trouble, which is a lot easier to get into since my wife is deployed right now. It makes it a lot easier to have a good day when bad things have happened that is for sure.

ive been told by several people that if i get a bike then they wont ever talk to me again... well that shows how good a friend they really are and there excuse is always the same, "i had a friend die on a motorcycle and i dont want that to happen again", well i say its my life not yours and if you dont like it, leave!

i want to ride just for the soul purpose of riding

I love to ride for the rush I get! The feeling of the nothing between me and the road, theres nothing better.
