What is the most expensive personal effect you have lost while riding...

Suddenly the music stopped. Thought my battery was dead. Got home, jacket zipper left open. $300 mp3 player. Gone.

Not riding but motorcycle related. The last time I went to Sam Houston National Forest, I forgot to put my pant, riding shorts and knee pads in the trunk of the car. I just left them on the trailer.
After realizing they have felt, I understood why people were giving me faces in I-45.

i've left the backpack zipper open twice... first time nothing was lost that i can remember except a couple motorcycle magazines, i HOPE!

second time i did it, i got from highway 6 to the beltway on westpark tollway and i was leaning down doing about 75 when i felt something smacking my back. felt around and realized my backpack zipper was wide open. i took an exit and my CHECK BOOK was missing so I backtracked, got back on westpark and i actually found my check book on the shoulder about 5 miles back. WHEW!!!
