Wassup! welcome. since your a newbie I’m sure very one is gonna give you advise on the mater and they are good advise. Have you ridden before? Dirt bikes, four wheeler’s, scooter’s? I’ll say this start small, take the rider course, wear your safety gear, and get a quote with an incurrence company BEFORE you get a bike. LAST don't mater if it is a 250, 500, 600, and above. Find your riding limits and don't ride over it till you feel you can do a little more. Respect that machine! Well hope to see you out there and ride.

Since you've ridden before, a 600 wouldn't be a bad starter.
Here's a great sell from a really good guy.
I think he's dropped the price to $4300.
good price for this bike...

hmm, ive heard a 600 is not the way to go, as they say it is too powerful for a beginner. so i was looking at 500's. is there really that much of a diffrence between the two?

the motocross bike was a 125 i think.

My first bike 8 years ago was a RF600RR, no probs.
Stopped riding for a long time and got back again on an 800cc cruiser.
No probs.

Alls you need is some respect for yourself, the road and the throttle.

Whatever bike you decide on, you'll have a great time!
Lotsa good ppl to meet and learn from on here. Good luck!

IMO, 250's and 500's are generally hideous. If you aren't ready for the power of an inline 600, check out the SV650's and Ninja 650's
