i have been out at my parent's doing some back breaking labor all day, and just checked this thread before i left for home

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

racer x, your concern for my child probably dwarfs my own concern for my child.

to all the people who have mentioned using harnesses, and yes, even you, racer x- you posted a pic of a harness seat type thing. can i get more info on harnesses for kids?

i got a pretty good lump of money in my pocket for all the work i did on my parent's property these last 2 days, i think cycle gear is happening tomorrow. if cycle gear doesnt have it, i'm pretty sure pro powersports in conroe has kids mx gear that will fit her.

oh man, i love you guys. i'll see yall later

edit: oh yeah, one more thing. last year, my dad was working for some sort of post retirement gig. he had a job at cps for about 2 months beofre he just couldnt do it anymore. he didnt like seeing all the kids get taken from their parents for stupid .
bah, anyways, cps sucks.
later guys

I'm not gonna read through all this, but you shoulda put a lid on her.

If you can't accept the criticism or prefer to fight it or defend your mistake, then you need to let go some pride and accept it. We all know you must love your daughter tremendously, and are surely concerned with her safety. Ignorance is bliss, but now that you know and understand better the consequences of your decision, I'm sure you will make the right decision and take the proper precautions the next time around.

I know it must've been an incredible moment for both you and your daughter. I would absolutely cherish moments like this, but learn from your mistakes, and next time make sure she at least wears a lid and other protective gear.

I think I am with X on this one. Considering that I see NO corner in teh Forest that is a hazard, yet you posted this...

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=67288

proves to me that YOU are not ready for a passanger AT ALL, let alone a child with NO HELMET.

I will ride 2 up with an adult (woman that is) with the thought ALWAYS in the back of mind about how terrible I'd feel if I went down and she got hurt. I can only imagine the guilt I'd feel if it was a child. That is an exraoridnary responsibly to shoulder with too mabny unknowns as it is.

But, i wont call the man, I'd just ride by and say to myself, "Look at that stupid . Poor kid." 3 years old dude? Man thats young.

thats all.

its not in 'the forest'
this was old plantersville rd and the other small roads connecting montgomery to dobbin.
there is really only 1 caution in this stretch of road. there is a right turn when you are heading towards dobbin that has a lot of loose gravel in front of a mailbox. i go ultra slow and grannyish on that turn (which is a very easy wide turn, btw). i have slid in my car doing low speeds through that turn. when i went through with the kid, both feet were down

anyways, it's done. my wife, who was supportive of this 100% (at least as i was aware) and encouraged the 1st ride out to my parent's, had a big fight with me over this. it i think was mostly because i wanted to buy our kid some gear. my wife seems to think that a wreck will not happen at all.

anyways, whatever. no more rides on the bike, even though it was the sweetest time i ever shared with my daughter

A little patience never hurt anyone. No sense in arguing with us here because she doesn't have gear, then arguing with your wife cause you wanna buy her gear (I hope I read that right).

Enjoy YOUR ride.

You and your daughter have many years of smiles ahead of you.

Bike or no bike....

Awesome memories, and I am not knocking your fall in the forest, it happens. Just think of the ramifications, should someting go wrong, for the child.

Sometimes I dont care what happens to me, it is me taking others out that troubles me. Especially a child.

GL to ya.
