The FIDDY "Sale" - The Truth

Remember the thread about 500 and 600 off 50's for Black Friday and Saturday?? I think they got deleted.

Just shootin it straight.

it was 600 off, BUT, after assembly, freight, prep and all that ....1400 sumthin out the door. Does that mean they were 2 grand before the discount?

Glad I didnt go down there.

Had a buddy all set to buy, went there, heard all that, and went to Stubbs and bought a CRF50 for LESS than the "discounted" ttr.

I payed $1250 OTD for mine at Stubbs, cuz I know how to bargain

And about this thread...

Yes, they over $2000 OTD after all the Taxes and frieght ect.

Im telling you, if you pay $1500 for, lets just say, a CRF50 the dealership dosnt even make a hundred bucks off you, prolly less. Im friends with a few salesmen and they told me straight up they dont make off 50s because people hear of others getting them for 1300 or 1400 OTD and they want the same deal.

NOW, whats BULLSH*T is when people post up on here 500-600 off and dont mention anything about OTD price, cuz theres a big difference.

IMO shop around and you'll find one for under $1400, which IMO is a decent deal.

Good post Brandt

It was me. I ended up getting a bar kit from 50stunt.com. I heard they make really strong bars.

my roomate bought a new 50 from stubbs for 12xx OTD in June. whoever told you they were losing $ selling them for that, just wanted you to think they werent making $ off you buying that. i know several guys that work there. and i managed a retail store for 3 years. trust me. they havent been selling those things for less than they buy them for.

but yes. 1200 for a new one is a good deal.

+1

They make more money on them things then they let on......the salesman might not make off the 50s commission wise but the dealers definetly are.....I bet invoice on those things is $700-800.... add a couple hundred for tax and assy/freight, sell them for $1250 and still make $300-400 off each one....The salesman's cut of that is probably nothing mentionable, maybe $20-30..

No one(dealers) is in the business to NOT make money...

they are expesive, but one of the best feeling kits to me. I paid around $180 for my kit, and that is when I did not work for a dealership.

OK now when he said "they don't make anything or very little" I guess I wasn't thinking about the shop, just the salesmen, so yeah I guess its the salemen that don't make much, but the shop still makes plenty....gotcha

LOL but when I saw the $500-$600 off 50s thread I knew people would show up and be disapointed. They do $500-$600 most of the time to anybody lol

and now they ruined it for the next guy that posts *SALE* on fiftys!

I love salemen, they such bullsh*ters

[QUOTE=CaJuNsOuLjA;1610272]Again, when making arguments, I write in a way that would be appropriate for the purposes of my post. I won't write in idiomatic terms if I am trying to make an argument that I want given any true consideration at any time. If you have problems with the way I write- don't read it, it's very simple. I don't write to please you or anyone else and I will neither apologize for it nor cease in writing the way that I do. I can't help that you deduct from my writing what you do, if I come across as arrogant, then that is how I come across to you- it is a subjective construct, determining someone's arrogance or true intention. The very fact that I write with intent and have distinguishable differences in my writing as per my intent should very well provide sound evidence to support that which I am saying. I'll give two examples: Sample 1 and Sample 2
