Im low tech.

Ran threaded rebar through my hollowed tripple, secured w nuts, slipped on fuel hose and mounted a tripod mount to the top of it. It turns w the rack at low speeds. I use a digital camera for video.

but for less than 200 you can get a new mini dv camera that is about the same size and will record better quality stuff. It also wont skip on you like a memory card one will.

I used mini dv cameras but the vibrations killed the drive after about tthirty hours of use . Which is a lot of riding but heavy on the pocketbook for videoes of riding around..

I like it alot. The mount I have is not very good for use on the track though. I have to put spacers so that the camera is high enough to see more than just the gauges which makes it hard to tuck. Here is a pic of it mounted on the bike. The camera itself is tiny. I like it, because I wanted a multi purpose camera. Not just something to vid riding. I can use it for little league, family gatherings, etc.

That's what I'm wondering too. As far As I know only hard drive based cameras fail when used on motorcycle due to extreme G force and shock causing the head to crash onto the drive plates.
