Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum

Every so often I am in Huntsville, AL for business. I mix business and pleasure as often as I can and stop off at Barber Motorsports Park. Sometimes I ride, most times I just hang out with friends from the area.

I thought I'd share some pix I took from a visit to the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. I've been to the track and the museum several times and highly recommend it. These pictures are from August 2006, I think. The museum changes from time to time, so there's always something new to see. Ask a docent (or George Barber, if you can find him) nicely, and they might let you see the workshop up close in the basement. (I've seen it, but not on this trip.)

I recommend putting these on slide show and kicking back with a beer if you are so inclined. (Sorry about the order of these pix as sometimes SmugMug has a mind of its own.)

The password should be "museum".

Yes, it is. Or was. It's case sensitive, and was set to "Museum". I removed the password now. Go for it.

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.
You can spend a lot of time in that place, and not see it all.

I spent several hours there last year after my brother's OTS ceremony in Montgomery. Really cool place.
