MaxGs/TWS (Texas World Speedway) Speedo Overlay

Here is the first session of the day at TWS (Texas World Speedway). The overlay is done with software called TrackVision which combines the video with the information from my data acquisition system.

Give this 5 or so minutes, it's in final processing.

A. Watching this is plain cool. Having this info is cool as when watching this video. I am so jealous!

B. You are one fast son of a gun. There is no way I could keep up with you. One day. One day!

Was 1.59.6 your best time all day out there or did you run lower?

That's not a good comparison, though. Liter bike versus a 600. Maybe 50 track days versus 5. And I have at least 10,000 laps at TWS (Texas World Speedway) in a car.

True. Doesn't change the fact that you are one fast .

Would love to take a few laps around with you next season and try and pickup a few things if you don't mind slowing down a bit.

No problem. However, there are some instructors that can really show you some great stuff. Dr. Gonzo, Mr. Whoopie, Larry Myers, Diggler, Fabian, Ty Howard.... all ballistically fast and they'll show you the really good lines.

I had to zero out the tach, unfortunately. When the RPM's got above about 8000, the data acquisition started getting erroneous readings from the tach. Major bummer.

The bars reflect acceleration/braking g's on one bar, and left/right g's on the other bar. It's a reflection of how hard you are accelerating or braking, as well as turning left or right.

For a reference point, maximum acceleration g's was .62 and maximum braking g's was -.72. Left and right g's maxed out at about -1.25 in turn 7, and 1.02 in the carousel.

At MSRH, max acceleration and braking g's were .70 and -.72 respectively. Left and right were about -1.09 and 1.05 on a laptime that was a 1:47.

Awesome!

Would really be cool to see throttle/brake percentage and lean angle like in GP, but G force is really cool.

Really puts it in perspective when they start to tell you how many G's the F1 cars pull.... I believe up to -8 in just braking.

IMHO, your bike is geared wrong for you and you are using too tall a gear thru most turns.

Other than that looks good. That is one cool gismo.
