Take a Ride with Hooligan at TWS (Texas World Speedway) with TTD 11-22-08

Already a bunch of videos with him in it already, since he was, up front, blocking traffic most of the day. But this one, I think, is him exclusively.

(give it 5 min to process)

I saw that and wondered how well that worked for you. Do you have to slow down a lot to make the next corner?

Hooligan - you, CDill and I should have a video review party. Take a look at our respective footage and see what we can learn from it.

The reason I asked was because yesterday after I bike crapped out on me I went out to the horse shoe to watch!

I saw a couple different lines coming out of there! Just trying to get an opinion since I noticed you took a little different line that I do! I also noticed that folks who ran wide coming out would get stuffed pretty bad! I saw Andy get several guys there!

You are rolling on the throttle too early in the carousel and it is pushing you wide. Riders have to be patient and keep the bike in tight to the curb from the midpoint of the carousel to the exit, and then a fast and hard left to get a drive down the straight into 12.

I think that is more bike setup than anything.

But you are mean as to your bike. You need to roll off the throttle and/or brake BEFORE you downshift. You are revving that thing to the moon for no reason. Downshifting onto the rev limiter is bad.
