Its a really really really bad idea to buy a bike without a title. In fact its illegal to sell a vehicle without one on hand.
There are way too many cases of bikes with no title being sold and the title never showing.

To make it more clear. You can not register the bike in your name and get plates if you do not have the title on hand.

It is all too easy for the owner to get another title. All he has to do is either mail in or go to the tax office with $5.45 to get a new one. So not having a title probably means that its shady or that he is not the owner.

that vin does not seem to come up. double check the #

also if u do not have the title. u have to go to the license place and ask to do a check on the vin and she will give u a paper on the nada of the bike. u then ask your insurance or call around for a surety(sp) bond. ours was $200 for that. you then get insurance on the bike then apply for the title.
Can get your plates in one day if u keep at it. Not THAT big of a deal. for us anyway. new title came in the mail maybe a month later
later
