That's interesting. In a car, turn 4 turns to ice when it gets damp. Turn 6 is not much better. And I'm referring to good street rubber, not even slicks. On saturday, I had several circumstances when I slid the rear tire with barely any throttle. All over the track... turn 2, turn 6, turn 11, and 15. Had issues with the front tire in turns 2 and 6 as well.

No matter how much you try to ignore it, that will effect your riding at some level.

Saturday felt good to me. Loads of grip. Seemed to me people's tire temps were more an issue than the track temps.

I should mention I ran 29 in the front, 27 rear (cold temp) to compensate for track temps.

As opposed to the normal 31 & 30 I normally run.

well i didnt notice slipping....but then again i wasnt riding at the rate of speed that brandt was....however..the announcements and the no passing the instructors for 2 laps because of the cold track does kinda get in your head a lil so you dont want to push as hard....maybe thats why your times were a lil off....just all the talk of slippery track...i never felt a slip though

I agree with gixxergirl. I didn't notice anything that bothered me. This is the only the 2nd time at TWS (Texas World Speedway), and I ran much faster than ever have before....anywhere. I had no problems with traction.

Yes my times were the same as the last race I did there in July. I will look at the vid when I get home, can't view it at work. If it's a silver r6 in Advanced group it's probably me.

Derek.. seriously?? Same lap times as when you were racing in July? The way I kept sliding, there was no way I could do that.

Hey Curt. Yes I'm serious about that pace. Keep in mind I'm on a 600, not a 1000cc bike to roast sticky tires with.
