Question Missing TWS (Texas World Speedway) tomorrow due to regular maintenance

D@mn the bad luck as I was changing the oil the drip pan bolt stripped out the threading on the inside of the oil pan. All this after getting new shoes (bt002's in the boonie's - thanks John!) and a fully functional L rear set. Not sure whether Patrick can retap the pan or not and ride on Sunday or I'll be replacing it soon. Man I was stoked, but hey, everything happens for a reason. Ya'll be safe, keep the rubber side down, and take lots of chances!

PS - TTD, what are my options as I paid online and especially if I'm not able to ride this weekend?

Man, that's a really nice offer. I looked at RonAyers and they appear to be similar with some minor differences and different part #'s.

Bean,

Sorry you can't make it, I know you were really looking forward to it. But like you said, everything happens for a reason. If you learn anything from this, don't procrastinate until the night before Amanda is she is CW'ing "just for me now". She said, "if Bean isn't riding with you I don't have to go now, right?"
WRONG!!!

I spoke with Tim last night, get in contact with him for a credit in 2009. He also said Motorcycles Unlimited fixed the same problem for him in the past, but they had to send it out. Repair costs were 125-150 if his memory served him correct.

On the other hand, we're about to pull out for College Station.

I'd just like to give Tim Ellis a HUGE THANK YOU as he drove 100 miles out of his way to help me fix my issue. It only took about 10-20 minutes worth of actual work, but I learned a very valuable lesson about changing my own oil. You must replace the crush washer each and EVERY time as they are vital to ensuring a proper seal. Plus they are very inexpensive, especially when you consider the alternative. Very informative and helpful afternoon spent with Tim. Don't really know anyone that would have driven 50 miles each way to help out, not to mention he did hook it up for free! Just to show loyalty does go a long way - been taking my cages to him for a year or so. Can't say enough good things about any and all of my experiences with Tim, Lisa, and Ellis Performance. See ya at the track tomorrow!
