Riding in the surroundings of Mexico City

Ok, here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pM6dxVLKnW4

Can any of the MH savvy people embed it.

The video is from a friend. He actually did a track day in TWS (Texas World Speedway) with TTD this summer. The music sucks but the video sure brings back bitter sweet memories.

I started riding bikes in the south part of Mexico City. Since there are not many track days in Mexico (besides they are too expensive) most of us decide to ride the Mexico-Cuernavaca toll way. As you can see the pavement is awesome and you can have a great ride for only 15 USD (two or three hours riding).

As you can see it is a public road and it is fairly common for people to fall or crash. That is where I felt. Around minute 2 my friend does a really stupid pass. Speed is in KmH.

Anyway, just wanted to share it.

All that and the tickets will never show up on our record back home....sign me up.

I've been following this trip...it's a bit on the slow side, but look at the scenery...incredible. And it is all only about 450 miles from Houston:

awesome roads, tell your friend if he stays in lane he can go slower and can make it feel tighter. That way you're not all over the road and if you do fall hopefully it's not quite as fast.

On a side note, recently on a trip to ecuador, it was not uncommon to see a family of 3 or 4 all on a small bike, probably 500cc or less.
