Jessical Zalusky

Racer Jessica Zalusky Hospitalized Following Post Knee Surgery Complications
Publish date: Nov 20, 2008

We here at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows® presented by Toyota were deeply saddened when we heard the news that AMA road racer Jessica Zalusky suffered a stroke Sunday, November 16, 2008, following the knee surgery she had the previous week. Jessica has had a column on Motorcycleshows.com that we have enjoyed for the past year and was planning on being a speaker in our Hub seminar series at our Minneapolis show February 13-15. We send our condolences to Jessica, her family and friends and wish her and them the best through this crisis. She is a friend to many of us at the International Motorcycle Show.

Jessica is recovering at a hospital near her home in Minnesota. Read more about it here: http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=35022

Update 11/20/08: Jessica has begun her recovery. While it may take many weeks of intensive therapy, she can make a full recovery. You can follow her progress, here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jessicazalusky

I met Jessica at Femmoto this year. She is the nicest, most down to earth person. We talked Kawis vs. Yammies and then rode together (on R6s) in the intermediate group.

proving once again that any and all invasive surgery can be risky, no matter how routine.

Heres to a speed and full recovery.
