whole sale value of a bike

So I guess I'm gonna finally pay for my title transfer on my old 94 cbr 600 f2.

My understanding is, the minimum txdot will charge you is 80% of the wholesale value of the vehicle. Ok, so wth is the wholesale value and where do i find it? =)

Is it simply the low values of kelly and nada?

I'm sorry, so txdot will charge me .0625 * .8 * wholesale value.

if you have the xfer docs and the seller checks off that it was gifted there is a small gift fee (I've been told $20) otherwise you can enter the vin on the txdot website and they will tell you the value of it (per them) & what you will pay

Thanks, I'll look into that.

Bought this bike late last year, and he lives over in some podunk town in Louisiana. Aint happening.

Would be nice though. Tax on the bike will be like 70$ plus stickers. No biggie.

Just be aware if you're trying to re-issue title, say you don't have it and you can't find the last titled owner, the last titled owner has the option to buy the bike for the reported value (your claimed purchase price).

If you say it's worth $20, they can call shenanigans and recover it from you for $20.

In this case, it's worth paying the tax on $1000 or whatever so that the other guy is less likely to buy it back.

Never heard of that unleaded. Thanks. The bike will be valued around 1400, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I knew about the late fee, just was never sure how much they were. That's why that bill of sale stays at home and the title isn't dated yet.

The gift fee is $10. That's how much I paid 5 months ago for my 92 GSXR 750.
