Comment / Question Regarding For Sale Section

I know that some bans, detetion of post and whatnots happen on MH and that's cool wit me. (not that I matter) But most of the time I see people getting banned for what they "say", or post get deleted because they are questionable in content.

I say, when somone posts something in the For Sale section, and they are not forthcoming about the item nor fully disclose issues, that some type of consequence be handed out.

I can tolerate racism, NWS posts, and the likes but what me the off is when someone post in for sale section, and knowingly withholds pertinent info about an item. Basically tries to screw unsuspecting MHers. A much more tangible offense to someone than words in a post.

Then, to top it off, and it has been more lax lately, when people start flaming the seller about his/her , those posts get deleted and everyone is asked to take it to PM's.

Just throwin it out there. :hello

And remember, this is the Forum Updates and Feedback section, mods. It's just feedback so dont get all bent outta shape and offended.

We used to have rules in FS section but king wasabi#2 and crew decided they were no longer needed thus MH became CL.

MH is not meant as a place to buy or sell anything so we, the people in charge, do not care for it that much to mod it with consistency. anything related to that forum PM dvlracer. he is more or less assigned to that forum.

buyer beware but if its blatant attacks they are deleted, erased, or whatever.

members NEVER know the whole story nor are they owed a reason.

You need to contact solracer or slvr for that. You just weren't randomly targeted so don't pull that card.

Brandt,

I just now ran across this post, sorry it took so long. I do try to keep up with the for sale forum as much as possible but there is no way I'm clicking every for sale thread to make sure people are following the rules, etc. As far as shady deals, etc, I encourage all members to be an educated buyer and try to distinguish between legitimate sellers and those trying to pull one over on you(generally, if it's too good to be true....it is). If I see a thread where the product is obviously shady and someone calls him out I generally do one of three things, leave up the posts and let it ride, close/delete the thread, or PM the seller for the full story then act accordingly. Like Arturo said, MH is not here for the soul purpose of buying/selling but I believe the section contributes a great deal to the site as a whole. The best thing to do if you see a post in question is to report it(using the red triangle under the user's avatar), that is the quickest way for me to find out something needs modding. I occasionally run across posts where someone says "can a mod do this..." you gotta think, what the heck are the odds I'm actually going to read that? Bring it to my attention somehow, PM me or report it. Sorry if I'm rambling, I hope I atleast touched on your question.

As for this thread, I for one greatly appreciate criticism, be it postive or negative. There is no way for us to know what the members think of the site and what they think could be improved upon unless they tell us
