just get online and get a quote from progressive and from geico. compare the prices, you never know which is gonna be cheaper...and i give it about 5 seconds before ole boy pete from state farm gets all up in this thread...lol.

Shop around is the best advice when it comes to getting insurance. A standard quote, like those you can get from provider's web sites or even over the phone, may not be the best price they can do for you. Going in and meeting the staff will usually get you a better rate than a phone quote. Many times there are other underwriters, through the same company, that can do better on cost. Unfortunately they don't always tell you everything up front.

As for the benefits of shopping around, I'll use myself as an example. Progressive wanted $8,000 per year for FC (full coverage) on my ZX9. Dairyland wanted $5,300. So State Farm got my policy because they only wanted $800 per year.
