I've owned 3 generations of the A* SMX-R boots, and never had a problem with them, even during crashes. I really like my new ones though- they're the most comfortable I've owned yet.

Can't go wrong with Sidi though, their boots are the shyte.

I've had my A-Star Supertechs for 3 years, 4 crashes and set of toe sliders later and they are still kicking. Not even a sprained ankle in any of the get-offs. The Sidi are certainly a quality product though.
