" I talked to Mike's wife Shelly. The news is...... Mike will recover. he is concious and talking. We can go and see him today. He has a broken wrist, cracked and broken ribs on left side. Fluid on the liver. Lacerated spleen. He is being held to see if the bleeding will stop. If Not they are going to do surgery tomorrow. "

Mike

Out past Chappell Hill ( fayetteville ), went up a hill and there was a turn on the other side.

I spoke with him in SICU, (coldnt belive I got through to his room) He sounds bangedup bt talking, think the lord ! I was really scared when I first got the news, He called me twice asking for me to go, I stayed home this weekend since we are going to the track Saturday.

Ridden with him quite a few times and this sucks to hear. Hope he heals up quick.

If anyone plans on going to see him let me know. I will try and make it, if it fits into the work schedule and everything.

Sorry to hear. Sounds like 949....up the hill, then as you crest the hill, dive to the left. I rode fayetteville sunday, that's the only corner I can emember that fits the description. But that is New Ulm I think.

Either way, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

UPDATE not good

Shelly, Mikes wife just called. Mike is NOT doing well. Last night his spleen started to bleed out heavily. He is one "count" away from needing a blood transfusion or they need to operate to remove the spleen. Shelly was not sure, but she thinks Mike is A+ blood type. He does NOT want hospital donated blood. He would like blood from someone he knows. I am have my Dr. check now for my blood type. I think I am A+, but want to be sure before I leave work to go down and donate for him. For those of you who know Mike, mabey a little more than the rest. PLEASE respond and let me know if you are willing and available to go down town and donate. Shelly will be calling me again soon to let me know more information. Call my cell directly: 281 - 414 - 3508. Thanks.
