Park correct I was parked correct, last time I checked a vehicle between 2 white lines was correct, no where is it stated how far front or back inbetween those lines you have to be. Yes she had to spend hard earned money to get her car back not my problem its better than me spending hard earned money to repair my bike cause someone elses car rolled into it knocking it over!

Yes I could have just walked away but that is my motorcycle, I paid hard earned money for it, and in return I don't want anyone on it, near it, or in the same parking spot as it, and it doesn't matter if I'm riding it or not. Its about respecting others possessions.even the rider across from me agrees he parks both his bikes the same way and both his cars infront of them I would never go and park in his area.

did that happen to your bike??? I didn't notice that you said you were taking revenge because of damage to your vehicle....

in THAT case, yes, definitely. We live in a world where you are perfectly entitled to damage the car or the person for doing something so heinous - no court, no jury necessary - take your own punishment out however you see fit...

oh wait - you said it COULD have happened... so you took revenge on her intentionally (not because you needed to, because you WANTED to) just for the heck of it.... very honorable..... yes.... that's the word!

Ok yeah I'm sorry I should keep allowing people into the space until someone hits my bike, I'm so very sorry that I want to prevent things like that from ever happening.

yep - karma comes back around folks... and having a match with the rest of the world is just not good planning....

once you mentioned 'respect' you lost all hope of logic and reason.

Worried about your bike - don't leave it vulnerable to being violated in such a heinous way as this obviously horrible sinful person was for ...um... parking close to it....

SIGH....

you just need to chill - maybe ask the apartment complex to install a motorcycle-only area (you know - blocked by vertical posts) - cheap, easy, and something to keep childish reactions like this from being necessary.

I forgot I have a choice where I can leave my bike! Wait wait oh yeah forgot still live in an apartment that if I get caught putting it inside the living room again I will get evicted cause its a fire hazard. So where would you prefer me to put the bike? Cause I sure as don't like it outside but untill I buy a new house I have no choice.

I seriously doubt they would, they don't do anything to fix the parking for cars or bikes, they allow some girl to park perpendicular taking up 2 spots cause she drives an older Benz c class

personally, I'd keep one vehicle in the spot of choice, and swap them out if need be - but parked in the way that is sure to keep sharing from taking place.

But first, I'd ask the complex for a M/C parking area that would be covered and allow you to secure it, and keep it safe from accidents.

And then you could go and give the person that got towed 1/2 the money she had to spend due to your aggression. then maybe you wouldn't be so angry.

Ill ask and let you know how it goes but I doubt they are gonna give the 6 of us out of the 130 people that live there special parking for our bikes. As far as splitting the tow bill no chance. I'm gonna stand my ground to the fact that I was parked and chained to the poll and she had no right to share the spot.

Yes they do care about the residents there but not enough to reduce the size of the already small parking area we have. So that the few of us that ride can have our own parking

I park my bike and car in the same manner you do and had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago. Luckly I knew who it was so I didn't have to get her car towed.

If I would have known who they I would have not so politely asked them to move, but ever since the hurricane there's a lot of extra people staying there which is making it hard on the people who actually pay. I can't wait till December when my contract is up and I can move into a new home, and will never have to deal with these things again.

You seem like a pretty decent guy OP.

I consider myself a decent person too, but if knowing I could have had that car towed and gotten away with it, it would've been gone. Lesson learned to the who was rude enough to take something.

yep -- communal living is different - it's a real test of whether or not you can live in harmony with others. but you'll find some of the same things living in a home, unless you're out on a farm...

you can get a lot more accomplished by at least trying to be nice - and what difference does it make if you know them or not, ducoop? - they're still the same people whether or not you know them by name....

"gotten away with it"??? what does that mean?

good lesson - someone's rude - be rude right back - that'll learn 'em! right?
