Fuel Pump

Would a messed up fuel pump be cause for acceleration loss?


when i roll on the throttle the rpms sky rocket then drop...then it catches and goes back up

if the rpms skyrocket, its not a fuel pump. Thats a slipping clutch.

my friction zone is alot further away from the bar then usual

hmm...i always thought a slipping clutch was dealing with the actual clutch lever

Try adding some slack into your clutch cable. If that doesn't fix it, you might want to drop it off.

The RPMs should never spin up....

RPM is a signal from the crankshaft... the transmission should be secured and spin with it... the RPMs WOULD go up if a. a tire is spinning or b. the clutch(weaker park of the drivetrain system between engine and transmission) begins to slip.
