Unhappy Being short sucks

My front wheel went into a dip in my driveway and leaned to the right, put my right foot down to catch the bike, but there was no ground there. We fell over into the 'lake'

Thank Jak (my son) came out and saw me, because it took both of us about ten minutes to pick up the bike. No new damage. Good thing I bought it used. short legs.

I tried this method, but I have nothing on the rear seat to grab onto- there is no handle, and it's perfectly smooth.

And if a 'small' woman can lift a Harley, where is THAT video? I couldn't lift 378 lbs by myself this day.

My dad told me not to lower the bike, just buy taller shoes. I already get flamed for riding in heels...

I hear you...I'm 160 lbs and my KLR is tall and heavy so I have to be extra careful to get good footing.

I went down in the mountains of Mexico on a trail right next to a cliff and it took me several tries to get it up (haha) cause I couldn't grab anything on the back due to my luggage and when I was trying to lift it kept sliding off the edge. I finally got it up and had to step over the right side and I ended up going over the left side...

then your more prone to ankle injuries on such an incident.

best bet:

get seat shaved
start thinking ahead, you have to plan where your gonna plant your foot.

just think, an SV has a shallower steering angle then an SS bike, so it feels less prone to falling in vs an SS bike. thats why alot of noobs drop SS bikes at slow speeds. my wife dropped our then new to us ZX-6r the 2nd day in a similar sit. she came of a ninja 250.

Actually I did order some m/c boots. They should be here next week. I really should spend the money and have my driveway repaired. It's in pretty bad shape.

I can ONLY back up on perfectly smooth pavement. As soon as I get out of the garage, I have to move forward- which is another problem. I usually back the bike out before I get on it.
