Good news bad news

I talked to shiner and the tours are only Mon - Friday. On Saturday the tours are closed HOWEVER the gift shop is open and samples are available. Of course Shiner Tx has plenty of restaurants and the like. With that said, they can and will do group parties on Saturdays 11+ people I believe but it need to be planned with Shiner and the 1st availability would be in January of 09.

So, you gotta ask yourself, "self, do I want to take a ride on a Saturday morning to Shiner to check out the gift shop, have a sample or two, lunch and then head back? Or no?"

Me? , the ride is the point. But there it is!

I think someone had mentioned St. Arnolds...but again...

Its the ride for me. Lets hear it.

sounds like the makings of a great ride - tour all breweries/microbreweries - but I'd have to side with the idea of not 'testing' much or any at all... just in case. Or perhaps do like wine-tasting where you taste it, but spit it out - sure would allow for more testing... And Saint Arnolds has many beers to try, as well as Shiner too.... so how many breweries in the Houston/Conroe/Galveston/Shiner area???
