How many teeth did you change? Should have went with smaller in front or larger in rear. It would make it more fun to ride Whats the fastest speed limit in texas anyways? like 60mph or 80mph max? forget about top speed and long trips on that bike. Its just not made for what your trying to do

Aww this makes me miss my ole 250! I had a 45-tooth sprocket on the back, and it was just perfect for these flat roads around here. I could get up and go, but still pass up cars on the freeway doing 90.
But still, it's not a screamer, plain and simple. That's why I went to a ZX6R.
The big Ninja is definitely much more fun to ride, and NO PROBLEMS with passing anyone up (especially cruisers lol) or getting out of a jam in a hurry. Only bad thing is the riding posture, it's not as comfortable on long rides.

man I could ride my old wee ninja all day and be comfortable. The SV is still pretty comfy, but not near as nice as the 250.

Passing cars with the 250 takes strategy ... with no raw power at your beck and call you have to plan your moves ahead of time.
