but, I digress.

I felt the same way when I wrecked at MSRH. There was a part of me that was glad that it finally happened.

And yes, VERY BOLD proclamations from new riders. Not wrecking on the streets is not something I pop off about. I am superstitious liek that.

I can not believe that noone agrees that people should have SOME moto experience before jumping on the streets.

Wow, I am the conservative one for once.

Woo hooo!

I think sportbikes are for aggressive, defensive speed freaks and if you dissagree with me you don't belong on one

And I'm dead serious

You're right to an extent. But I think where you made your mistake in your opening comment was by including everyone that takes MSF and then runs out and gets a bike after no prior experience.

Gotta give people some credit yo

now everyone back off cdill! he meant well, bless his heart, he just doesn't have a way with words

You said specificlly dirt bike experience!! I in no way think that someone should take the MSF the decide to hit the streets! I for 1 took months in parking lots and it backroad streets before I rode any major roads! So I feel it is more about maturity the pervious experience!

The first day I got my 89 vulcan I HAD to ride it right away. Even though I had NO experience whatsoever on a motorcycle, I was too excited. I totally jumped the gun and while trying to merge into traffic wedged the front wheel between the curb and my friend's Jeep. Luckily I didn't hurt myself or the bike, but lesson learned.

If I had to do all over again, I would have gotten some experience on a dirtbike. Mainly because dirt/grass is more forgiving than concrete. Also, could have practiced in a field somewhere away from traffic.

See, UN relief. I was just waiting 'till you were neck deep. Next time don't jump to conclusions as to which side I fall.

My first experience on a bike was the V-45 Magna. I pinned the until I hit 140. It was heaven.

Why are we yelling?!

I agree that if you are a mature rider then you don't need to hit the dirt trails!
There I go again! Oops! Sorry!
