If MSF is your first experience with a bike

You dont need to be riding the streets.

Get a dirt bike and ride for a couple years, then holler back.

I did it all wrong. At least I took the first year easy- it was nearly that long before I was comfortable enough to commute.

You'll never stop me, now!

I not only had no experience AT ALL; I was scared to death of the thing. I thought it was going to kill me. MSF made me realize that I'm in control of the bike- it's only going to do what I make it do.

+1

Only experience I had was riding a dirt bike for a while when I was like 10!

4 years later I haven't had any problems on the street!

That's exactly what it is. If you are a little older and responsible you can do anything with enough respect for your bike. Don't ride w/o someone else there with you, always take it slow and never let the thrill of speed overcome the fear of death and you should be just fine

Candie, your dirt bike experience excludes you.

For the others, I believe you are major exceptions to the rule.

Captain M, do you think your mishap at MSRH had anything to do with lack of prior experience?
