F4i bogging down?

Has anyone heard of a re-map the Honda does that's supposed to be under warranty that eliminates the hestitation when first trying to take off in first gear on an 01 F4i?

I'm not aware of one.
Is the bike all stock?
How old is the air filter and when were the plugs last changed?

I've never had one and of all the F4i owners I know I can't remember anyone mentioning anything about it. What RPMs is it happening at?

Check out www.cbrworld.net for tons of great info on CBRs. I'm Mugochap there.

my bike bogs big time when i bring it way back, but i've never noticed it just taking off fast in 1st.
I think if i get a bigger sprocket it'll help for the bogging for me

I am not sure Patrick. As soon as I can get to where I don't drive it everyday I am going to bring it to you. It needs some maintenance and the valves adjusted, and I still need to get a shifter from you along with the headlights adjusted. I talked to Honda of Houston they don't have anything either. Another guy with an F4i told me about it, but he's probably just another dumbass that doesn't really know anything and just wanted to sound cool. Everything is stock and yes I took the pipe off. But it done it when the pipe was on too. I just can't stand having something with a pipe on it. Everything I've ever owned has had a straight pipe. lol

so you have no pipe on at all? wouldn't that be the reason your low-end is super sucky? I'm sure it's not too good on your valves either to be running it like that for long periods of time. I'm no mechanic though lol

Well this was going on before I took the pipe off. And you're right it's not good on my valves. But when the time comes I'll change them. Or should I say have Patrick's shop change them. lol See there Patrick I am giving you security to know your company has some upcoming business. But I do love the sound of that bike when it's ripping through the gears with a straight pipe. Man that thing screams.

i have a f4i and i never noticed that problem before today. of course i dont usually try to take off quickly either. but today i was going to a friends house and while i was at a red light, i noticed that my lane ended. so i figure, wth, and i gun it, but it barely moves, then hesitates for a sec or 2 and then it took off. as far as i know, my bike is all stock except the d&d muffler.

turbo lag?? lol you ever think to clean or replace the air filter... or clean the carbs?? and open pipe is really bad for you valves and you wont have the torque that you would with the pipe..
