6000.00 and work from there. Dont go over the KBB. Bike needs a thourough inspection before negotiating a final price. Since your up North of Houston I would ask Patrick @ Motorcycles Unlimited to do the inspection for you. Cost of the inspection could be negotiated into the selling price too.

He's probably thinking you acted like you really really wanted it so he's going to try to get as much out of you as he can.

Cuz he wants to get a good bike for a change.

The dyno thing is only useful if he installed a PCIII or something. There is no other real benefit to dyno'ing a bike unless you tune it as well. If he did any of that he should be able to show before and after charts.
Other wise puttin a bike on a dyno is just a geewhiz kinda thing, and adds NO value.
Also GSXRs came with a factory steering damper so is he claiming that as a mod? Or what brand did he install?
Is that D&D a full exhaust system or just a slip-on?

Offer 5700 and see what he says.. Tell him you have it and offer that... If he says no if you really want the bike counter 6k and no more... If he wants to sell it he will take it. I think you can find one for 6k. be patient and the deal will rolll around.

sounds to me like he doesn't really want to sell it that badly.

so he has a higher price on it and if someone comes along and pays that price then good for him. Otherwise he just keeps it for a while.

Not everyone is desperate to sell.
