we are gonna talk politics weather the circus is there or not. so....you want it to clog up the off topic forum, or keep it separate?

get rid of it...people will just post what they have to say in off topic. deleting it will not make the site any better.

I'm sorry, I find this, really interesting. For months the extreme bias, offensive behavior, was ok, no outcrys, everything was peachy as long as it rolled in favor.

NOW its a useless section that divides the forum.

UPDATE:

Its been a divider since the beginning. Members have left this forum because of that section and I know for a fact many specifically avoid it.

I guess what really disturbs me, is that if our politics swung a different way, we all know many would be singing a totally different tune.

All in all, very fair weathered.

Like I suggested, can we take it out of the "New Posts" results list at least, along with the off-topic posts? If people want to view it, let them browse to that forum. Otherwise, "New posts" will show m/c related posts.

Considering the forum was more of a rally than a political discussion forum, i'm betting its going to be pretty dull from here on since many have no choice other than to actually discuss politics.

Its easy to hold a sign up and voice your opinion on front line issues, but now its back to real politics and facts, which most dont like to deal with.

Keep the circus open, a forum that breeds hate and contemptment, but ban Hitler? That's ****ed. Thank his study was over anyway.

+1
At least force people to go looking for it. But I say to keep it otherwise the general off topic will get clogged with political stuff...

That's what the main page is for. Anything in OT or its sub-forums doesn't show up on the front page. Leave new posts the way it is IMO. I do think that sponsor sub-forums should show up on the front page though.

I vote to keep it open.
Even though this is a moto forum, I think it is a channel to get people involved in politics who would probably never have been involved.
It's up to the user to be able to conduct themselves in an acceptable manner.
