My next bike? Thoughts? Opinions?

So, I really want one of these two babies.

Gold rimmed 2009 R6

Or limited edition Gold rimmed Daytona 675

Thoughts?

Recommendations?

my only experience/concern w the triumph is through Navigator's and Burnboy's experience on the weeks it takes to get parts from the dealer.

I ridden on R6's before, and I like how it felt. Never had the opportunity to ride a 675 though. My friends are all pushing me to get the R6, but I have always wanted a 675 since I started riding. Tough choice.

r6 made my knee hurt after 20 miles. weird I know but the 675 rides fine. guess it just depends on how big you are. the 675 has a REAL tall seat height.

Makes you lean over like crazy?
Like CBR 600RR?
Race ready configuration?

just get the R6. You can't get better from a 600.

I figure if I got the R6 I would throw on a fender eliminator, and put a gold shorty pipe on it. Gold pazzo levers, and powder coat gold on the pegs and some of the frame. It would be cheaper to just buy an '08 675. Long term the 675 may become a giant hole I throw my money into.

i guess it would be race ready config. but yes you get your race stance on with the 675. the r6 just made me sit in a way that killed my knee

you need to test ride to get a true feel. both are very capable bikes.

i will say the undertail pipe gets kinda warm on the right inner thigh on the 675. also in traffic when the fan kicks on it blows hot air off the radiator up into your helmet. other than that it is a beast. just being honest, maybe r6 owners will fess up to it's short comings and give you realistic feedback.

the R6 is the most nimble, best handling 600 i have ever rode. although motor-wise... it lacked the of the CBR. u will have to rev the out of the R6 to make good power. of the R6 & 675... id go with the R6. more after market & performance items are available

i remember when jon took a few bmw's and some triumphs to the bbq/track day. one of instructors took the 675 out and was very impressed with it and stated if he had time to set it up he could set lap records with it. that kinda stuck with me.

The 08-09 R6 actually has a better mid range like the CBR.
