Input Please

Im looking at getting a PCIII for my 01 929. Is it really going to make me as happy as everything I read makes me think I am going to be ? I looked at the website and it doesnt list a map for my exhaust (Scorpion Titanium slip on ), is this an issue ? Does anyone know of someone wanting to get rid of one ?

yea i would say not ! but you can ebay it and get it for like 200 or so, then take it to a dealer and have them custom map it ! that is the only way you get the full efect from the pc3

i have one on the harley but i changed the pipes and air filter ex, so i had to remap and that was the easyest way!

What does the custom map go for roughly ? Is that something I could download, or deal with tech support about ?

at least 4 of them have crapped out on me during races and royally fukked my races every time. they are garbage. the max hp u will possibly see on a dyno with one is 3-4 hp and thats after u spend sum time tuning it. i raced a 954 back then and we put an Arata race pipe on with stock ECU & ran it on VP U4 . the pipe and fuel was an additional 14 hp

+1 on mapping it. The standard maps on their website will always run rich. If you get it, go to a dyno shop and get the custom map.

the custom map !!!!!!!!!

basicly what dynojet does is fit diff exhaust and such to diff bikes , tune them to a some what perfect tune and then save the map, that is what you see on their site!

a custom map is just that, get the pc3 go to a dealer who tunes , and they will put your bike on a dyno and use one of the close maps that dynojet offers , and they will run your bike, and tweek the map, its fully adjustable, and if done right the map will be the best it can be for that day! lol

things change with temp , humidy and elevaton but it should be 99.9 perfect cause it was done for your bike!

basicly a dyno tuneing , and the map is saved to the pc3 !

that is the best way to get the pest performance from the pc3 and the mods you have on your bike, aka scorpion exhaust, k&n filter, ex!

i had a gixxer 6 2000 modle and it was carbed but i had it jetted and dyno tuned at wrw raceing and it was sick, i had all the factory mods exh , filter , timing advance ex,

he gave me a dyno sheet that showed me each grear at each rpm and it showed wher my hp was and when it started to drop off, !

any way , will it wake the bike up , yes, to the point you will your pants, no!

i have got one so i would say get it and spend another 500 +- on the tune!

so now is it worth the money????????????????????????????????

are you a racer?

you should be able to answer your own question !

if your not a dyno tuner i would not mess with any of the setting in the pc3 map that could be vary destructive to your bike!

if you get one and dont have it tuned it will still make a diff, call dyonjet and ask what the best map they offer for what you have! a slip on is a slip on not that much diff! the map would still be close!

other wise get it tuned!

Every so often they have their blimps but I still have mine on my bike.

And I need to get a dyno map still.... mine is still just a custom map.
