First of all, if you're gonna take twisty's try to make a run through at a slower decent speed to check for loose gravel, debris, etc, etc...
Get familiar with the road, after your wreck is not a good time to say, "Man I didnt know that turn was so sharp!"

If you do find bad spots on roads frequented by MH riders, please try to post up a warning when you can. MSF course really helps alot.

I've taken Allen Pkwy several times and have hit patches like the one you're talking about, but never had that happen to me??? Did you kinda freak out or what?

I agree with Helios. A slower pace to look for debris, gravel, and bad road ways will keep you safer and make the trip a success.

Sounds to me like you quit leaning cause it felt weird to you, then your bike instinctively started to straighten out (what you call drifting to the left). Just slow down a bit when you see it from a distance, grab your bars like a $10 blonde hooker, lean and ride it through. Just make sure there isn't any loose gravel, then that $10 hooker's gonna give you some bad rash.
