Best place to finance a bike?

Hey all I am FINALLY going to get another bike was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to where to get a loan. I looked at financing it straight through the dealers; but it looks like the lowest APR they offer is 9.99% (at least thatís all I can find advertised) and that just seams really high to me? I tried looking around at a couple of banks and none of them look much better. I have good credit and a good/secure job so thatís not an issue. Thanks in advance.

A motorcycle is considered a luxury, so it is much harder to get a good interest rate on one. I really doubt you will get much better than 9.99.

yeah i was going to say that seems like a pretty good rate since a bike is not nearly as good a collateral item as a car, and money to finance with is not as plentiful as it used to be.

Go see a credit union.

If a personal loan is cheaper(likely not) go that route.

Then when you have a dollar amount, fight the dealer for a discount if you're not going w a used bike(recommended for first bike.) Call up a few and talk to eachother about prices offered amongst them. You're basically cutting them a check so its easy money for them.

Your personal credit union... some offer rates in the 5-6% range if your credit is that strong.

i got mine threw the dow credit union, and you can get the int down to like 5.5 or better on a new bike , but that is my personal C.U!

So yea if you have a bank try them first! that is your best bet!

If you have good credit or a willing co-signer with good credit you can do better on interest for sure. I just got a used 08 @ 7.5% I believe, to be honest I already forgot.
