Motorcycle inspection

Quick Question for you guys.
I havent had to obtain an inspection for my bike yet but I was wondering...
If a bike you ride daily has a race exhaust will this still pass inspection or do they do emmissions on bikes as they do with cars?

I see that Triumph offers an Arrow Full Race Exhaust system for their 675 yet it says that this is for race only and not for road use. This got me wondering.

When I got my last inspection they just took a quick glance over everything and checked all the lights. No emissions test.

I think emissions is just for cars. Just like Los, when I did mine this year, it was quick. They asked to see the blinkers work, horn, head light, brake check (light and actually stop). I can tell they guy didn't know much cuz when he asked to see the headlights on he was like "My friend, only one headlight is working." So I let him know about the high and low beam. lol

It is, for now. The 2006 model air-cooled Harley's are coming with catylitic converters which leads me to believe than MC's are going to be emissions-tested before too long. I dunno about the sport-bikes.

yup. the inspection you get is a "safety" inspection not vehicle emmisions. try a place that specializes in stickers because some places wont have the blue moto sticker.

turn signals, horn, headlight, and brake light are the MAJOR things they check. once i had to stop going 25mph up to a certain line. when i pulled up a stoppie they said, "thats tight! do you want two stickers?"

I got mine inspected with a straight pipe. There's not even a pipe coming out from the fairings. I took the muffler and the half pipe off. You know a free tire warmer not to mention enough noise to scare the out of anyone in a car you pass when they don't expect it. lol
