Anyways....

a newer bike will have a higher power/weight ratio; the lighter weight also improves handing and braking.

as for insurance, it may cost more but not by too much. Having a bike impounded for being modified, or losing an insurance claim from a totalled bike and the company not paying out for anything over the respectable value of a stock bike(not reimbursed for the work done) would be harsh.

As for the turbo question, I hadn't seen a carbed turbo set up on bikes, but when we did the cars, the nissans ran a wet system(beware of intake backfires; meaning the carb comes first and turbine is exposed to fuel.)

Just put a 30 shot of nitrous on there and be done with it for a few hundred dollars.

That's probably the easiest way.

Unless you have money just lying around, buy a new bike. Also it took the shop 7 months to do my motor build project on the vmax. It sucked to wait, and the bike was so strung out that it was really not reliable anymore. It ripped and was fun, but I got rid of it and bought the 14. I spent more in the motor and mods than the cost of a 08 14.

I liked the quote about the 600 sticker...would fool 85%.

your bike is ancient however, you can put a 1000 motor in it, thats what i did with one of my gixxer 6's

problem solved.

Sounds like a great idea. I would suggest having an extra engine so that u don't suffer down time. Maybe you could research things first then star with the block!I completly understand your way of thinking. Its one thing to say, here is my brand new GSXR 1000 that I bought this way, or another to have a 600 all motor. However, I would also agree that you will most likely give up some reability. It is hard to have both worlds.

Good thing about those old bikes...plenty of room to hide a bottle in the tail. I had to grind down my subframe a little to get mine in there. Everything is hidden. The horn is the spray.

Bottle
